Meet The Makers
Angelo De Luca
Angelo De Luca is an Italian born, Swiss based jewellery designer.
Long before he ever shaped gold or set a stone, Angelo knew he wanted to create jewellery. And today, he does just that, blending deep technical knowledge with an almost poetic sense of form and feeling.
His jewellery is a tribute to the alpine world he now calls home. His creations are shaped by the rhythm of the mountains, inspired by hikes and e-bike rides through the Engadin’s shifting seasons. When a place resonates, he pauses— takes in the stillness — and listens for the quiet beauty that reveals itself.
This summer, one particular flower has taken centre stage in his new collection: It is the Enzian, with all its deep blue magic.
The Enzian Collection
Creating bridges between the visible and the unseen
Long regarded as a symbol of strength and clarity in Alpine folklore, the Enzian has been used for centuries in medicinal remedies and spiritual rituals. Its rare bloom and intense colour have made it a flower of reverence—often seen as a messenger between the visible and the unseen.
Inspired by the alpine gentian flower, the Enzian collection is Angelo De Luca’s homage to the mysticism and delicacy of mountain flora. Each piece is entirely handcrafted in Switzerland, using natural gemstones and 18-carat yellow gold.
The earrings are sculpted in gold with hand-engraved Enzian in lapis lazuli, coral strawberries adorned with emeralds, delicate edelweiss flowers set with natural diamonds, and white and yellow mother-of-pearl blossoms accented by yellow sapphires and diamonds. Inside, the earrings bear a hidden engraving: “Can I have a kiss” – in Bavarian dialect.
The Enzian necklace features hand-carved Enzian in lapis and emeralds, with a central cushion-cut tanzanite encircled by emeralds and diamonds. The gold chain is detailed with tanzanite elements and closes with an emerald-set clasp.
The ring is centred around a vivid oval tanzanite, framed by hand-engraved lapis Enzian, emeralds, peridots, and diamonds — a refined composition of colour, form and alpine symbolism.
“The blue Enzian is a guardian of thresholds — growing where earth meets sky, where silence deepens into presence. It opens only to those who linger, and speaks in the colour of secrets kept by the mountain for centuries.”
