Since 2023, Bread & Diamonds has united the craft of Michelin-starred chef Paolo Casanova with the poetry of jewellery designer Angelo De Luca.
What looks on paper to be a bit of an unlikely concept somehow makes perfect sense here in the valley. At its core, it’s two artisans blending two Engadin essentials.

Each week, Paolo turns the everyday ritual of freshly baked bread into something far richer.
His signature sourdoughs are developed in nearby Madulain and baked with time, care, and certified organic ingredients from the region.
The bread is hearty, nourishing, and easier to digest than its industrial counterparts. Flavourful from day one, and designed to last. It’s bread with soul.

And then, there is Angelo’s jewellery. Hand crafted stones designed to be worn, enjoyed, and cherished for posterity. 
His work is shaped by his training in Rome and inspired by the contrasts of life in the Engadin: the raw energy of the mountains, the polished glamour of St. Moritz.
Whether on the street, at a dinner, or, as he puts it, while picking up a loaf of bread, his jewels are made to be worn, to spark connection, and above all, to endure. As he says, “We don’t choose the jewel. The jewel chooses us.”

Bread & Diamonds is closed during summer, but fresh bread is delivered to Super Mountain Market once a week.
